There’s a strong French accent to the architecture, food, and even many of the people here. It feels genuinely exotic. But there’s an equally prominent American (specifically Southern) accent that comes through most strongly in the music you hear everywhere and the diversity of people you see on the street. It’s like Paris covered in spanish moss.
